Diablo 3 - Release Date!

The End of Days approaches…. Diablo III will be unleashed from the Burning Hells on May 15, 2012, and you can be ready to play the minute the servers go live by pre-purchasing the game digitally on Battle.net today.

Beginning May 15, players around the world will be able to return to Tristram to discover the dark secrets of a fallen star and begin their quest to save Sanctuary from the impending demonic invasion. To secure your place as a barbarian, monk, demon hunter, witch doctor, or wizard right now, simply log in to your Battle.net account, and then purchase and download* Diablo III, and you’ll be ready to play when the game launches.

World of Warcraft players interested in getting Diablo III for free can still get in on the World of Warcraft Annual Pass, but the promotion will be ending at 12:01 a.m. PDT on May 1, 2012. When you sign up for the Annual Pass and make a 1-year commitment to World of Warcraft, you’ll receive a free digital copy of Diablo III, an exclusive World of Warcraft in-game mount (Tyrael’s Charger), as well as access to the upcoming World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria beta test. After weeks of leveling, Battlemaster grinding, HM Flashpoints, cussing about Ilum, moaning over bugs, group powerleveling alts and otherwise dicking off, Ethereal finally jumped in and tackled an Operation.

Four hours later, everything was dead. It seems we kinda outgeared it. Yeah... we probably could have done it a month ago. We kinda have really good gear. Anyway, kickass job to everybody involved - Eternity Vault and HM next! Mmm, tastee purplars!

Oh, and if anybody reliable wants to roll a healer (Sorc/Merc) or a Juggernaut to try the game out, give us a yell!

I'm glad you asked. Currently we are 4/7 in heroic (10 MAN) FL. We usually raid Tues/Thurs/Sun from 9:30ST - 12ST, and on occasion we switch a day around here and there if a raid member's schedule changes and everyone can make another day. Ragnaros has been defeated after a couple nights of attempts
(and yes, after the nerf.. but he was close before it *SIGH*)

As well, we didn't take a kill shot, so, deal with this.

After quitting raiding, then returning to raiding, we finally dinged level 25. (months behind)

A quick update on what Ethereal has been up to:
- We ninja gear from pugs.
- Copelin still blames Lunula for everything.
- Jettaya has beautiful feet.
- Yes! We still wipe to trash!
- We still love wookies.
- And Swampfoxx.

There was an additional after party, but only 3 people showed up

If you missed the memo, let me formally inform you of the fact that Ethereal quit 25m raids in World of Warcraft. While it was fun (yeah right) while it lasted, it's no longer feasible (or seemingly possible) to field 30 raiders multiple nights a week on Vek. So, we did what any reasonably terrible guild would do, and threw in the towel. We wish the very best to the remaining guilds swirling around at the bottom of the toilet bowl of a dying game, and hope that they have many successes in the future.

What are we doing these days? Well, most of us have moved on to a game called Rift. If you haven't checked it out, it's basically what WoW would be if it had decent graphics and more things to do. The classes/trees are interesting and don't force you to play cookie-cutter builds, rifts and invasions keep you interested even after you've done them a few times, and the zones and dungeons are refreshingly beautiful (spectacular) in comparison to the late 80s NES graphics WoW affords its players. PvP is still a bit broken, but they're lightning-fast with patches, and seem to be ACTUALLY LISTENING TO THEIR PLAYERBASE IN ALL REGARDS. Shocking! Maybe they'll be in it for the players for a few years before turning their game into a sickening micro-transaction-cash-cow like BlizzActivision did. /shrug

As a nod to our raiders from Kentucky, Ethereal kept it in the family this week with our Thrilling-Thursday-Three-Shot all over the faces of Nefarian and his lil' sister Onyxia. Congratulations are in order for all involved, as we learned this fight in a matter of hours and executed it flawlessly for the kill. The time to push into heroic content is at hand, and we will embrace the opportunity.

CALM DOWN! We killed Heroic Halfus!

... and so it begins!

After a rocky start to the expansion, we've solidified our raid core and begun our march on heroic content. In the last few months we've had to sift through dozens of people who couldn't hack it, weather two huge recruitment sprees to keep 25 raiders in the core, and do some serious searching to find more like-minded raiders willing to transfer to this backwater rock of a server... but we kept our heads down and persevered.

Over the last few weeks we've picked up a handful of really awesome people, and our raid core seems stronger than it's ever been. The feeling of accomplishment we got from downing Halfus in the short time we spent on him (with a quarter of the raid in blue gear) will only serve to fuel our future endeavors. While we all realize that we're months behind, and that Vek'nilash might as well be the Siberia of gaming, this is our first step towards being where we want to be.

Congratulations to all involved - thanks for toughing it out!

Ethereal Guild - Website Remade!

The skin has been reverted to an older version that we used a while back.
However, the skin has had some major overhauls done to make sure there's 0 bugs or issues with it this time.

I am continuing to work on making the front page a little more 'stylish', but for now, this will do.

Ethereal Guild - Forum Remake (Update)

The forum remake is about 87.999% (repeating, of course) done now, I am currently adding the final skin touches.
The skin should be completed within the next week.

I just wanna make note of a few things that will effect the CURRENT skin we are using:

- The main portal page will be DISABLED February 9, 2011 until further notice, please note that it will return, but with a new style as well, to match the new forum skin.
- The edit boxes (when you make a new post, reply to one, etc, etc) will appear in a darker color (once again this is due to the new skin being a darker color and the fact the files share over skins).

Other then the above 2 issues the site will continue to function 100%.

If I feel that I need to add something, I will continue to use this post to do so!

Ethereal Gaming - Cataclysm Plans

Okay, so we all keep saying we want to try 10 man raiding as a guild in Cata. HOORAY! (Seriously, I've been really excited about this idea, especially after the past couple weeks.)

Who actually wants to do this? I know we don't really know the release date quite yet anyway, but I want to know what people want to do, how many days a week we're looking at, stuff like that.

I know it's just a rough idea right now, but that works for me.

Personally, I want to stay a druid. If I'm melee I want to be keety, but I'd really like to try to be a boomkin above all else.

Welcome to Ethereal Gaming!

We are still working on getting the site up and running 100% but I will take this time to welcome you to the home of Ethereal Guild on the Vek'nilash server.

We are formerly known as Critical, on the Grizzly Hills server, and before that we were known as Ethereal on the Vek'nilash server.
The current plan is to resume 10 man raiding come Cataclysm release (whenever that is!).

As well as this page being used for Ethereal Guild we are hoping to have a FFXIV linkshell come September 22, 2010 when it is released.
